SC Pup N’ Stuff is a brand built out of pure puppy love! Founders Shawn and Char are true ‘dog people’. Shawn has been a dog trainer for many years and actually met his partner Char while training her dogs. The two set out to create a brand to house durable quality pet products that speak to the value of the human dog connection. Their goal is to help people build and foster stronger connections with their dogs. They know the power of the human dog connection and want to give people the tools to maximize their relationship with their own dogs.

The Problem
When Shawn and Char came to us they had nothing but a name… SC Pup N’ Stuff… Short for Shawn and Char’s Pup N’ Stuff…fun right?! But they didn’t have anything to show for their dream besides the fun name. They have goals of creating a product line but in the meantime wanted to start an e-commerce site that sold only top quality, trainer approved, dog products and shared bits of education to dog training. They needed a brand that could start as e-commerce and move to product line once they were ready.
How We Helped
Through our brand strategy sessions we revealed the driving force behind this business, pure dog to human connection. Shawn was tired of seeing people fail at training their dogs because they were using the wrong tools or waisting money on stuff that would fall apart. He wanted to help and give people better solutions to improve their odds of having a good relationship with their furry friends.
Once we did a deep dive into the brand and customer archetype, we were able to craft a brand identity. Think Patagonia meets Levi’s… we knew the brand needed to be rugged and work in the outdoors but also approachable enough that your average mom would not feel out of place purchasing. The logo mark is of course a dog… who coincidentally looks like one of the founders dog. We build the logo out as a system to ensure the logo would work for an commencer site as well as on products like dog collars and leashes.
The Results
SC Pup N’ Stuff has legs! The founders are able to take their concept and run. They are able to approach other brands they want to sell on their e-commerce site and have something to show besides a fun business name. Brands are able to see they are a legitimate vendor and partner with a purpose.
Having the logo has been designed as a system, we know once they have their product line they can seamlessly drop in their logos and they will not have to worry about visibility.
